Notice to all Pressurized Irrigation Users

Due to the mild winder and dry, windy conditions it is necessary that we start NOW to conserve our irrigation water.  The results of the mild winter have affected our water storage for use throughout the summer growing season.  We did not have the snow pack nor the storage that is required to supply the City residents with their water needs for the summer months.  We are asking that you take extra care to ensure that there is no water wasted.  Every little bit of water conservation now, will allow us more water for later use.  When the system cannot maintain the required flow to support the use, we have to turn on the wells to supplement the system.  The cost to pump those wells will be an additional cost to residents on their utility bill.  To meet the demand of the Pressurized Irrigation we will soon be forced to turn the wells on to supplement the pressurized system.  We are all partnered in the conservation of our water system.

As of June 2012 the following is in effect:

  1. NO pressurized watering after Eight (8) AM until Eight (8) PM.  Please water during the night time hours if possible.
  2. Lawns in our high Desert area require 1.5 inches of water during the hottest part of the summer a week.
  3. We ask that you restrict your watering to Three (3) times a week.
  4. Let grass grown longer to preserve the moisture in the ground.

Remember all property owners that use the PI System are part of the program; we are all responsible for taking care of our water use.

As per Beaver Ordinance we will be enforcing this restriction with citations to those in violation.

By Order of Beaver City.
